The threat of a downpour and the game of “hunt the petrol station” were all forgotten when Dementia Club UK met at the Eversfield Centre on Tuesday afternoon.
Home made cakes, biscuits, tea and coffee were consumed by about thirty visitors, including carers , Mill Hill Rotarians and some people visiting for the first time.
Thinking caps on, Jeanette led a lively exchange of memories about hair styles past and present. Then Helen Tierney our music entertainer followed on playing the piano and then her small harp, accompanied with much singing and laughter.
By the time Richard Kravetz arrived to take us through our seated Yoga exercises, the place was in a very positive mood. A lovely session with gentle exercises, and a rendition of “She’ll be coming round the mountains” with Lisa, rounded off a very happy session!
Thank you to all our Mill Hill Rotary club volunteers - Graham, Desmond and Bobsie and also Lisa and Mark.
